The CateringRewards Story

Hi, I’m Preet.
I spent over a decade at GoDaddy, leading tech and product. Good stable job. The kind of career people nod approvingly at. Then I decided to leave it all behind and start a restaurant. People thought I'd lost my mind. You're really leaving tech... to sell sandwiches?
But it was my dream. It started well. The business was growing steadily.
Then COVID hit.
Existential crisis doesn't even begin to cover it. Those were dark, brutal months. Questioning everything. Wondering if I made the biggest mistake of my life.
But slowly, painfully, things started opening up again. We clawed our way back. Built momentum, one order at a time.

I was working myself to the bone. Catering orders were flowing.
Until I sat down and actually looked at the numbers.
We weren't profitable. Not even close.
Big orders kept coming through third-party apps: 15–30% commissions on each one, gutting our margins. I was literally renting customers just to access my own customers.
And the worst part? These were perfect repeat buyers. Office managers. Event coordinators. HR teams. Pharma Reps. High-value customers who should've kept coming back.

I built my own rewards program (thanks to GoDaddy experience) and offered it to customers. Hockey stick growth. I even won Franchisee of the Year.
I wanted every restaurant owner to have this.

That's how CateringRewards was born.
